January 17, 2000 marked the beginning of the success for Mommie Helen's Bakery. The bakery, owned by Dorothy Pryor Rose specializes in old fashioned pies, cobblers, and cakes. Dorothy decided to bring back the old-fashioned taste grandma used to make. She uses her mother, Helen "Mommie" Williams and Aunt, Ruth Jones' recipes. Looking at the menu takes you back in the day when grandmother baked up your favorite desserts and smelled up the house with mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked pies, cobblers, and cakes that you can't resist!
